Go on, do it, spend a week in Rhodes and visit the picturesque Old Town or maybe have a go at the eldest open velodrome in Greece, I bet you didn't know about the velodrome in Rhodes... Fly and stay in Kalamata or the south of Peloponnese, check out the fortified castle from the Middle Ages, or walk barefoot in the sand, which will give you plenty of time to appreciate the seemingly endless beaches in this part of Greece, or go west towards the Costa Navarino resort and see or try for yourselves to swim, run or cycle along the routes of the very first IRONMAN Greece race, held back in April.
