The unique pass of Montcaro, categorised as HC with an average gradient of 8%. When you come from the popular seaside resorts the route is almost at see level until reaching the town of Tortosa. From there, you start a 22km long climb to Montcaro, with an altitude of 1428m. It is a steady climb until you reach the 180 degrees turns with up to 14% gradient. Tortosa appears smaller and smaller and the spectacular views over the river Ebro are amazing. Reaching the top, it is a must, to take a picture of this mythical mountain and that you have made it all the way to the top.
